1. Register as a volunteer:
Click the button above if needed OR if you volunteered during registration skip to step 2.
Please ensure each volunteer has their own account with a unique email address (youth volunteers or partners must have their own account or be added and accept an invite to the primary account)
2. Complete a background check:
Once you register as a volunteer, you will receive an automated email from Sterling Volunteers. Follow the link and complete the background check. Be sure to check your spam folder for the email. For troubleshooting, please see these instructions.
(Youth referees will skip this step)
3. Complete the 15 min AYSO Safe Haven course online:
Login to your account by clicking the "Log-in" button at the top of this page. Click the Volunteer menu on the left, and find the "AYSOU" button under your name on your Volunteer page. On our training site, click "Training Library" on the left. Under "Safe Haven Courses" click "View Courses"
Complete the Safe Haven Online Course
We also recommend that you also complete the CDC Concussion Awareness and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses
4. Attend an in-person referee training course:
Regional (10U) and 8U Referee training times and dates will be announced in late July.
