Youth volunteers
AYSO welcomes youth volunteers! Service to AYSO can help meet community service credits that some schools require.
Possible opportunities
Here is a list of some duties youths can volunteer for:
Youth Trainers: see the Youth Trainer
page. Time commitment = 3-4 hours per week during the season.
Refereeing: become trained as a referee and officiate games. Time commitment = set your own schedule on Saturdays for games
VIP buddies: Youth volunteers to assist VIP players during games. Learn more about the VIP program
here. Time commitment = 2 hours on Sundays
Uniform donations: help with organizing, cleaning and packaging donated uniforms.
Recycling: helping to condense cans, bottles and cardboard every weekend - mainly during the fall season.
Registration and training
Youths who want to become referees or youth trainers must comply with the same registration and training requirements that adults must comply with.
Registration means completing and submitting a Volunteer Application Form every year. You will need to create your own account by clicking "register now" in the upper right hand corner. Then click on the "volunteer" tab on the left hand side. Click on "Find volunteer Roles" on the top right hand side.
For coach training information, see the Coach training page. For all coach requirements, see the Coach requirements page. For further assistance, please send an e-mail to

To become a VIP buddy you will need to attend a virtual training course before the season starts. Please send an email to Ricardo Amon at
