Lily Nisen Scholarship
Lily Nisen played soccer from the age of six, and participated in Davis AYSO for many years. She was nurtured and loved by her mother, and assisted by many in the soccer community, both in AYSO and DYSL. She graduated from Davis High School in 2003 and then attended San Diego State University, majoring in graphic arts. Her life was taken from her in San Diego on Memorial Day weekend, 2004. After her death, many families have made contributions to AYSO in Lily’s name for a scholarship fund. In selecting recipients of the scholarships, the awards committee would like to recognize individuals who share some of Lily’s characteristics: prowess and skill on the soccer field, unselfishness, good sportsmanship and positive attitude. Although circumstances were not always ideal, she persevered and excelled.
