eAYSO (electronic-American Youth Soccer Organization) has integrated all AYSO data into one web-based application.

Instead of many programs for each category, AYSO now has a single software program that everyone can use.

By using eAYSO, parents, players, volunteers, and staff will anytime and anywhere be able to update their information as it changes.

For more information on eAYSO please see AYSO National's website.

GENERAL SPRING INFORMATION:

The Davis AYSO Spring season typically starts in early April and runs for approximately 7-8 weeks in duration, with games being held on Fridays. Teams are co-ed and are generally formed based on combined location (North /West and East/South) and using the AYSO balanced teams philosphy.

The age divisions run from Under 5 (U5) through Under 14 (U14). Flags for goals and colored pinnies are usually used in this season, and played on age-appropriate sized fields. Each player is required to wear shin guards, socks to cover the shin guards, and appropriate shoes (whether it be soccer cleats or gym shoes).

The Spring season is a great way to introduce non-soccer experienced players to the game, or for a refresher for those who played in the Fall season and want to continue and advance in their skills. Please check out the information below for the next upcoming Spring season.

AGE DIVISIONS: Our Spring Season age divisions are the same as what was played in the previous Fall Season, for example, if your child played in the U10 Division last Fall Season, then your child would be playing in the U10 Division for Spring. All spring teams are co-ed. For age cut-offs, see the chart below.

SEASON DATES: There are seven games in the Spring Season.

Practice times are generally scheduled by the Coach as well as depending on the age group and the season, can occur once or twice a week.

GAME TIMES: At the start of the season, TBA, tentatively start at either 4:30 or 5:30pm. There are no games played during School Spring Break week.

PARENTS: Please note that players are usually contacted around mid-March. If you have not heard from anyone by the third week in March, then you can send an email to to check on the status of your child's coach. The delay may result from your child being placed on a team, but no parent has stepped up to volunteer as a coach.

REGISTRATION FEE for 2010: $55 per player ($30 for U5).

REQUIREMENTS: Shoes (gym or cleats) and Shin guards. Pinnies will be used for each of the teams.

For more information or to help volunteer for the Spring season you can email the Spring Coordinator at

To Volunteer as a Coach or Referee: Please go to www.eayso.org and fill out a Volunteer Application if you did not already submit one during the past Fall (2009) season. Print out and bring 2 copies of your Volunteer Application to Walk-In Registration along with a valid picture ID for verification.

Please visit the Coaches and Referees pages for more specific information and upcoming clinics.

* NOTE: All Volunteer Applications filed with AYSO are good for one year.

Area/Location Map (used in Team formations)

In using one of AYSO's philosophy's, "Balanced Teams", we first need to divide the City of Davis into locations, i.e. N, S, E & W (see map below for reference). Then within each of those locations, we run our team balancing program which sorts each of the player's first by age, then by their rating, resulting in equally competitive teams within the same location.

The location boundries have been slightly modified to help evenly distribute the number of players among the four areas shown below. Unfortunately these location boundries may not agree with current school boundries. However, this is the only way we can evenly distribute the number of players fairly.
